Privacy policy Guidle AG

This is the privacy policy of the company Guidle AG , Marktgasse 8, 6340 Baar. The Guidle AG operates the innovative hub for digital content (hereinafter referred to as "platform") as well as numerous connected region and topic portals (hereinafter referred to as "portals"). The data protection declaration sets out which personal data is collected and processed when visiting or using the platform or portals.

Personal data is handled with the greatest care and in accordance with the applicable data protection law. The following principles apply:

1. Personal data

Personal data is all information that relates to a specific or identifiable person. This includes information such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail. Both natural and legal persons about whom data is processed are affected.

2 Obtaining personal data

Personal data is only collected where it is necessary for the execution of services offered, for orders, participation in promotions or contests and the use of personalized offers. As a rule, these are details of name, address, e-mail as well as user name and password. Each person is free to provide additional information. Each person will be informed in advance about the purpose of the data collection. Particularly sensitive personal data will not be collected.

3. Use of personal data

The personal data collected by us are usually used only for the execution of services provided to the user. If we plan to use the data in another way, for example to make the user aware of features, products and services, the user can exclude the use of his data for other than the originally requested service. We do not share personal data with third parties. We reserve the right to outsource parts or all of our data processing to an IT outsourcing partner.

4 Tracking data

To improve our services, we collect so-called tracking data, which provide information about the surfing and search behavior of users. Such tracking data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual users; therefore, no persons can be identified on the basis of this data.

5 Use of cookies

We use cookies to optimize our website and to determine page impressions. These cookies are completely anonymous and do not contain any personal data. Cookies are also used to show you content and advertising according to your interests, namely for the following purposes:

  • To display advertisements matching your interests.
  • To form anonymous user groups according to interest (clusters).
  • For statistical evaluation, in order to be able to adapt our offer better to the interests of our users.

6. Integration of services and contents of third parties

6.1 Google

We use various contents and services of the provider Google LLC ("Google"), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer). The processed data may include, in particular, IP addresses and location data. The collected data may be used by Google to play out personalized advertising. The data may be processed in the USA. 6.1.1 Google Analytics

We use the web analytics service Google Analytics to analyze user behavior and improve the quality of the service provided.

6.1.2 Youtube

We embed the videos of the platform "YouTube" and use the Youtube API services. When playing videos, Youtube may display online advertisements to you. More info: Youtube Terms of Use

6.1.3 Google Fonts

For uniform presentation, we integrate fonts ("Google Fonts"). When you call up a website, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

6.1.4 Google Maps

We integrate the maps of the service "Google Maps".

6.2 Outdooractive

We integrate content from the "outdooractive" platform of the provider Outdooractive AG, Missener Straße 18, 87509 Immenstadt, Germany, and transmit data to the external service provider. Outdooractive AG provides electronic tools (e.g.: tour planner, tour search, online maps, etc.) with which users can search for tours, plan routes or design their own tours. 6.3 Hotjar

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. 7. Opt-out

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

8. Right to information and correction

Any person about whom personal data is collected has the right to request information about what data is available about him or her. Any person concerned may request that data be corrected and deleted from the address register. Such requests should be addressed to support@guidle.com.

9 Protection of personal data

The collected data is recorded electronically. We ensure that personal data is protected against unauthorized processing by appropriate technical and organizational measures.

10. Misuse of data

In the event of misuse or suspicion of a criminal offence, Guidle AG is entitled to evaluate the data and, on request, to pass it on to the relevant official authorities, insofar as it is legally obliged to do so. If Guidle AG notices that personal data belonging to third parties is being used by a user, this user will be excluded from the services.
