The Tuesday Jazz concert series brings well-known and yet-to-be-discovered Swiss contemporary jazz talents to the stage.

The quintet Pilgrim, led by Zurich tenor saxophonist Christoph Irniger, has matured over the years into one of the most exciting ensembles in young European jazz. In their brilliantly thought-out, yet generously open music, Pilgrim uses ambiguity as a tool. Some compositions are freely improvised, while others are fully notated. Most, however, lie in between, with a flexibility that reflects a life of freedom in which informed decisions are made spontaneously.
