Vernissage & exhibition "Ornament & Concrete"

With the exhibition "Ornament & Concrete", Nina Maria Küchler brings together Baroque and Brutalism. Despite all the contrasts, the two art and architectural styles have one thing in common: they work with monumentality, drama and a staging of space that goes beyond the human scale. For example, the artist juxtaposes brutalist church buildings, such as St. Klemenz in Bettlach, with paintings and drawings based on baroque diagrams.

The exhibition can be visited until April 30, 2026 in the Old Hospital Solothurn (room 2 on the 2nd floor).
